Description
Prepare batches for processing by scaling for quantity as required and determining equipment requirements according to volume and material compatibility with the direction of more senior staff Make processing changes to batch instructions based on scale and planned deviations Prepare planned deviations and obtain supporting documentation and authorizations Facilitate the supply and delivery of Material Safety Data Sheets for Operations Dept. staff Issue materials to batches for staging using the SAP program Monitor inventory levels for assigned projects and inform TT manager of low inventory levels File batch records and masters Participate in opportunities to develop knowledge of process chemistry, cGMP and safety Contribute to the continuous improvement of technology transfer systems and procedures Promote and ensure compliance with cGMP and safe operations Provide support to production during batch manufacturing
Eligibility Criteria
EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL ATTAINMENT
B.Sc. and/or M.Sc. in Chemistry, preferably synthetic organic JOB RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
0-1 years experience in a process chemistry or research + development role is an asset, preferably within the pharmaceutical or Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients manufacturing industry SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Synthetic organic chemistry knowledge Knowledge of a cGMP environment is an asset Pharmaceutical or Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients production knowledge is an asset Computer application skills (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets and databases), preferably within a Microsoft Office environment Ability to provide 7/24 hour on-call support (rotating) CRITICAL ATTRIBUTES
