Quality Engineering Analyst

Role Overview

Software Tester to support our engineering team in delivering high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly software solutions. The candidate will be involved in both manual and automation testing activities and will work closely with senior QA engineers, developers, and product teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Prepare and execute manual test cases based on project requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear severity, priority, and reproduction steps.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing.
• Support automation testing activities using Selenium with Java or playwright.
• Assist in creating and maintaining automation test scripts.
• Perform basic API testing using Postman.
• Validate data using database queries in PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server or any other data bases
• Work closely with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Maintain proper test documentation, including test cases, test results, and defect reports.
• Learn and support automation frameworks, version control, and CI/CD practices.
• Perform Api and data base load testing using any tools like Jmeter.

This role is suitable for candidates with 0–2 years of experience or those with a strong foundation in software testing, automation concepts, and quality engineering practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in software testing or a strong foundation in QA concepts.
• Basic understanding of manual testing concepts.
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Basic exposure to Selenium automation with Java.
• Understanding of Core Java fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge of API testing using Postman.
• Basic understanding of database concepts, preferably PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
• Ability to document defects clearly with severity, priority, and reproduction steps.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented Agile environment.
• Willingness to learn automation frameworks and CI/CD practices.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of test management or defect tracking tools.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Exposure to automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Maven.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or similar platforms.
