Job Summary and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities – Technical Writer, Mid
Drafting and Content Development
- Draft assigned design documentation, user guides, online help topics, or operations manuals based on project assignment
- Produce content aligned with company standards and U.S. client expectations
- Incorporate subject matter expert (SME) input into structured documentation under direction from Technical Writing (TW) leads
- Update and maintain recurring Operations and Maintenance (O&M) documentation
Revision and Quality Preparation
- Incorporate TW and Deliverable Quality Assurance (DQA) feedback within defined timelines
- Prepare documents for DQA entry by completing required checklist steps
- Execute document formatting, template validation, cross-reference updates, and version control
- Prepare and remediate accessibility compliance (Section 508 / WCAG) prior to DQA validation
Documentation Lifecycle Support
- Own recurring documentation updates for assigned programs under supervision
- Manage screenshot updates, PHI/PII masking, and release-specific revisions
- Maintain documentation repositories (Confluence, DSS, or other approved systems)
Operational Expectations
Time Zone Overlap
- Minimum four hours of daily overlap with U.S. working hours
- Must include one to two hours overlapping U.S. Pacific Time depending on program assignment
Writing Quality Requirements
- Demonstrated mastery of written American English appropriate for client-facing deliverables
- Ability to produce content requiring minimal editorial correction
- Clear, concise, formal tone aligned with U.S. client expectations
Supervision and Structure
- Works under defined guidelines and direction from Technical Writing leads
- Executes assigned deliverables independently once scope and expectations are defined
Escalates blockers or content gaps promptly during overlap hours
