Position: Engineer/Sr Engineer Technology Managed Wifi

Location: Hyderabad

Reporting to: Manager - Technology

Role Description

• Active monitoring of WIFI infrastructure from central management system.
• Co-ordinate with Operations team and Senior Management for Wi-Fi as a product.
• Work with service delivery /cross functional team for Wi-Fi issue resolutions, RCAs.
• Validate the use cases in the lab. Troubleshoot the issues identified during testing.
• Integration and Performance Testing of Wi-Fi Routers, Gateways
• Will work in a team environment with significant interaction with hardware and software ODM's.
• Create detailed requirements for technical implementation of Wireless Connectivity features and functions.
• Interact across functions in the organizations to ensure smooth integration of Wireless Connectivity features as per organization strategy.
• Closely work with Wireless Solution Architect for new solution deployment, integration and implementation
• Follow complete ITIL Process for IM/CM and problem management within SLA closure.
• Should be available 24*7 for emergency situations

Desired Skills

• Experience in Wireless technology testing which includes Wireless AP''s, Routers, Wireless extenders
• Understanding and working knowledge of WiFi Protocols and standards (802.11b/g/n/ac/ax)
• Proficient data networking knowledge (OSI Model, Protocols, TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6 addressing, Ethernet, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, ARP, NAT, Bridging, IPoE, PPPoE, Switching.
• Knowledge of central Wi-Fi management systems (ACS, Cisco Prime) WiFi Analyzer and Mesh technologies.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
• 2 to 3 years of technical experience directly working with Wi-Fi architecture and data communications.
• Expertise in Wireless Technologies such as 802.1b/g/n, 802.11ac, ax,
• Experience with WiFi Functional, Performance or Stability testing
• Understanding of FTTH & GPON concepts, automations through scripts added advantage
