We maintain offices in Vienna, VA; Houston, TX; Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Dubai, UAE; Shanghai, China; Mumbai, India; with permanent presences in Lagos, Nigeria; Kuwait City, Kuwait; Doha, Qatar; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. We operate from various project sites around the globe and virtual offices are considered.

To enhance our core services, we are seeking a Process Safety Engineer/Consultant with various forms of expertise:

• Technical process safety consultants for HAZOP, QRA, SEVESO, OSHAS 18001, Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), LOPA, SIL, and other safety consulting skills;
• Management systems, including systems development, auditing, management of change, systems implementation, organizational culture, and benchmarking;
• Functional safety experts/professionals (FSE/FSPs) for SIS projects;
• Training specialists with a successful record of providing training on chemical safety management;
• QRA specialists including consequence modelers for fire, explosion, and toxic release estimation, quantitative methods FTA, ETA.

Successful candidates will have some or all of the following experience:

• BS/MS in an applicable engineering field;
• 2-5 years of relevant experience;
• Experience working with, developing, implementing, or managing safety management systems (SMS), such as SEVESO, PSM, EPA RMP, OSHAS 18001;
• Experience working with, developing, or implementing, SMS plans, procedures, design philosophies, design bases, engineering specifications, standard operating procedures;
• Experience working with HSE management systems;
• Experience performing PHA and risk assessments, or related studies, such as HAZID, What-If, HAZOP, FMEA, Fault tree/Event Tree Analysis, Fire and Explosion Modelling, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Assessment, or Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA);
• Knowledge of relevant standards;
• Ability to support and develop consulting business, including proposal development and presentations;
• Self-motivated and independent, with strong leadership and organizational skills;
• Excellent English verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
