Developer Advocacy/Relations Intern

We're looking for a Developer Advocacy/Relations Intern who enjoys explaining technical concepts clearly, writing for developers, and engaging with engineering communities in an authentic way. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, documentation, and community, and is ideal for someone who likes to turn complex systems into clear stories developers actually want to read.

You'll work closely with engineers and founders to shape how our product is understood, adopted, and discussed by the developer community.

What You'll Work On

• Writing clear, accurate technical documentation (guides, tutorials, references)
• Creating developer-focused content: blog posts, launch notes, how-tos, and explainers
• Turning engineering work into GitHub READMEs, examples, and demos
• Engaging with developers across GitHub, Reddit, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Substack
• Responding to questions, issues, and discussions with a technical mindset
• Helping shape messaging that resonates with real engineers (not marketing fluff)
• Collecting community feedback and sharing insights with the engineering team

What We're Looking For

• Strong technical writing skills—you can explain complex ideas simply and correctly
• Comfortable reading code, docs, and technical discussions
• Good understanding of software engineering concepts (APIs, services, infra basics)
• Ability to engage with developer communities thoughtfully and respectfully
• Clear written communication and good judgment in public forums
• Self-driven, curious, and willing to learn new tools and technologies

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience writing technical blogs, docs, or tutorials
• Familiarity with GitHub (issues, PRs, discussions)
• Exposure to cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure topics
• Active presence in developer communities (open source, forums, social platforms)
• Prior writing on Medium, Dev.to, personal blogs, or Substack
