You'll play a hands-on role in improving our accounts payable processes, strengthening financial controls, and building the infrastructure needed to support our global growth - all while ensuring our financial reporting is accurate, timely, and genuinely insightful.What you'll do:Own the end-to-end accounts payable process - from invoice processing and approvals through to paymentsRun weekly multi-currency payment cycles, ensuring accuracy and timelinessKeep vendor accounts clean and up to date by reconciling statements and resolving issues quicklyBuild strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, acting as a go-to for queriesSupport financial reporting by contributing to cash flow forecasting, ageing reports, and month-end closeHelp prepare financial statements and balance sheet reconciliationsAnalyse variances and provide insights into financial performancePlay a role in tax and statutory compliance activitiesContinuously look for ways to streamline processes and improve how AP operates across the businessWe'd love to hear from you if you tick some of these boxes:A degree in Accounting (or similar), with a solid understanding of core accounting principlesExperience supporting month-end, including journals and balance sheet reconciliationsStrong Excel skills; experience with NetSuite is a bonusA collaborative approach with a clear sense of ownership and accountabilityStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepanciesConfident communicator who can build relationships across teamsQuick to learn new systems, tools, and ways of workingOur People Experience:Our people team at Airtasker are dedicated to designing an industry leading people experience.
