You'll help strengthen financial controls, improve systems and processes, and build the foundations needed to support our global expansion - all while delivering high-quality, timely, and meaningful financial insights.What you'll do:Take ownership of the month-end close, delivering accurate and timely journals, reconciliations, and financial analysisLead key accounting areas including revenue recognition, fixed assets, leases, and provisionsBuild and refine processes and policies to reflect best practice as the business scalesPartner with stakeholders to deliver insightful Board reporting, including clear variance analysis and commentaryPlay a key role in statutory reporting, ASX requirements, and external audit processesManage tax compliance activities, including BAS lodgementsContinuously look for ways to streamline month-end and improve day-to-day finance operationsContribute to automation and process improvement initiatives that elevate the quality and speed of financial reportingWe'd love to hear from you if you tick some of these boxes:CA or CPA qualified (or working towards it)Experience in Big 4/mid-tier or a fast-growing business, with listed exposure a bonusStrong grounding in technical accounting and applying AASB/IFRS in practiceProven experience supporting month-end (journals, reconciliations, etc.)Strong Excel skills, with exposure to NetSuite or similar systems a plusA team player who takes ownership and delivers outcomesNaturally curious, with the ability to solve problems and navigate ambiguityConfident working cross-functionally and building strong relationshipsQuick to pick up new systems, tools, and conceptsProactive in challenging the status quo and identifying smarter, more efficient ways of workingOur People Experience:Our people team at Airtasker are dedicated to designing an industry leading people experience.
