Clinical Sales Engineer

Ambience Healthcare

Remote - US
Full-Time

Description

We're hiring a Clinical Sales Engineer to be the clinical authority in our sales motion. This role sits at the intersection of clinicians, sales, and product, translating real-world care delivery into compelling, credible product narratives that move deals forward.

You'll own the clinical side of sales cycles: running high-impact demos, advising account strategy, leading VIP trials, and pressure-testing how Ambience fits into actual provider workflows. You're taked to prove through demos, trials, and real workflow discussions that Ambience drives results in true clinical settings.

You show up with energy and clarity to advance deals with large health systems, earn clinician trust, and demonstrate measurable impact to our prospective customers.

  • Own and deliver between 10–20 clinical product demos per month, tailored to specialty, setting, and buyer persona progressing at least 60% of demos to the next sales stage
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to win deals by influencing account strategy and competitive positioning while capturing and synthesizing clinical intelligence from the field
  • Act as the clinical subject matter expert throughout the sales cycle. You will translate clinical workflows, documentation needs, and CDI requirements into clear value propositions for prospective customers
  • Lead VIP pilot trials by owning clinician onboarding, training, feedback collection, and success metrics
  • Build trusted relationships with clinicians and healthcare leaders converting advocates into champions
  • Feed clinical insight back into Ambience to ensure real-world clinical feedback directly shapes our go-to-market strategy
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, and implementation teams to influence demos, messaging, and roadmap decisions

This role is a commission-eligible position with a 80/20 base salary and variable compensation split. The base salary for this role is approximately $150,000 per year. When combined with variable compensation, the total on-target earnings (OTE) is approximately $180,000 annually, assuming 100% quota attainment.

Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on factors such as experience, role scope, and geographic location. In addition to cash compensation, this role is eligible for equity grants. Our compensation philosophy emphasizes meaningful equity ownership, enabling team members to share directly in the long-term value they help create.
