At least 2 to 4 years of experience in Java performance tuning on any commercial or enterprise Java applications.
Strong background in Computer Architecture and Operating Systems
Experience with any kernel subsystem such as the scheduler, memory management, IOMMU
Performance measurement, profiling, performance debug, and characterization experience on above workloads.
Power-user of performance profiling tools, preferably X86 based (Visual VM, JFR, JProfiler, Linux perf)
Exposure to large memory footprint server workloads (E.g. SPECjbb15, SPECpowerssj, Rennaisance) would be an added advantage.
Knowledge of OS internals and kernel parameter tuning experience.
In-depth understanding of modern compiler optimizations and assembly optimizations including Intel CPU intrinsics.
Strong C++/Java programming skills.
Big data technologies like Hadoop, Cassandra would be an added advantage.
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
