About the Role

We are looking for a proactive Junior IT Support Engineer to support IT operations in a fast-paced semiconductor and engineering environment. This role involves ensuring seamless IT support for end users and engineering teams, maintaining infrastructure, and enabling high-performance computing environments.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

· Provide L1/L2 support for hardware, software, and network-related issues

· Set up and support engineering workstations and required tools

· Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and high-performance workstations

· Troubleshoot Windows/Linux OS, email, VPN, and network connectivity issues

· Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control (AD/LDAP)

· Handle IT asset lifecycle including procurement, tracking, and maintenance

· Support installation and maintenance of licensed engineering tools (EDA preferred)

· Monitor and maintain network infrastructure (LAN/Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls)

· Ensure compliance with IT security policies and standards

· Coordinate with vendors and manage AMC/support contracts

Required Skills

· Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field

· 2–5 years of experience in IT support or system administration

· Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux environments

· Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

· Experience with Active Directory, VPN, and remote support tools

· Familiarity with ticketing systems (Zoho, ServiceNow, etc.)

· Strong problem-solving and communication skills

· Experience in semiconductor or engineering organizations

· Exposure to EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor Graphics)

· Basic knowledge of servers, storage systems, and virtualization

· Certifications such as Red Hat (RHCSA/RHCE) or CCNA
