IELTS Trainer

Angloverse is an early-stage edtech startup offering personalized online IELTS classes to students pursuing a career abroad or professionals looking for migrating to foreign countries. The classes are customised to the student's needs and goals with a strong focus on individual attention and group compatibility.

We enable students to achieve higher bands through lower student-tutor ratios, casual organisational culture, and by providing a fun and enjoyable learning experience.

We are a growing team based in Kochi and are looking for a passionate and driven IELTS teacher to join our team. Since our team is working fully remote, you can apply and work from anywhere

What will you be doing:

• Deliver exceptional IELTS Classes and constructive feedback for students (mostly writing & speaking sections).
• Be accountable for the students assigned to you - their grades, attendance, and activeness during classes.
• Conducting and evaluating weekly mock tests.
• Active participation in team meetings and timely reporting of students' performance.
• Other ad-hoc tasks related to curriculums and classes.

What are we looking for:

• Good Communication Skills - we strive on keeping an informal classroom experience, so you should be able to keep the classes interactive and engaging.
• Problem-solving - you should be able to identify students' weaknesses and suggest the right approaches to improve their band scores.
• Empathetic - you might have students from varying English language levels and age groups, so you should be able to tailor your classes to suit them
• Good command of English and Malayalam and has scored high bands in IELTS
• We do not require prior experience (previous experience taking tuitions, TEFL/TESOL, or any other role where you have demonstrated these skills is considered a plus point)
