About the RoleAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Supply Chain Buyer to work closely within the Supply Chain Team. The Supply Chain team is a key function in managing the production flow of goods and services to ensure manufacturing readiness. This role will play a key part in both team and company success. This role interfaces with all aspects of the business, including production, program management, engineering, and leadership. This individual will possess the following strong skills: Decision Making, Cost Reduction, Negotiation, Project Management, & Spend Management.Responsibilities:Create, issue, and manage purchase orders to meet production and department needsNegotiate pricing & terms within responsible sourcing scopeMaintain relationships with suppliers, monitor performance, and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and pricingQuickly resolve supply chain disruptions and delivery delaysTrack and expedite orders to meet deadlines and program needsDevelop relationships with internal stakeholders and teams (i.e. Mission Management, Engineering, Production, Accounting, etc) to anticipate and meet the business requirementsMaintain accurate records, track procurement KPIs, and identify opportunities to streamline processes.Support the development and implementation of sourcing strategiesRequirements:U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or Equivalent Business Degree1-3 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or OperationsDemonstrated track record of cost reduction achievementDemonstrated track record of on time delivery of goods and servicesStrong Attention to DetailStrong presentation skills and the ability to interface with leadershipStrong analytical skills and ability to breakdown data, spend, and purchasing data to drive continuous improvementPreferred Qualifications:Space / aerospace industry experienceExperience in a manufacturing environment#LI-RC1Why Join Apex?Apex believes in creating a work environment that you look forward to embracing every day.
