Key Competencies
| Competency | What We're Looking For | Why It Matters |
| Instructional Design Craft | Understands how adults learn and can translate complex process information into clear, structured, role-appropriate learning content without being told how to organize it from scratch. | Our content has to work for end users who may be anxious about change. Poorly designed materials undermine adoption. |
| Content Authoring Tool Proficiency | Can build in EasyGenerator, Scribe, or equivalent with speed and accuracy. Picks up new tools quickly with minimal hand-holding. | EasyGenerator and Scribe are our primary production tools. Proficiency here directly determines output velocity. |
| Precision & Standards Adherence | Follows templates, naming conventions, and formatting standards exactly. Doesn't improvise on structure without direction. Flags deviations rather than making unilateral decisions. | Client-facing materials must be consistent and branded. Rework is costly and delays delivery. |
| Structured Communication | Communicates clearly in writing, flags blockers proactively, and asks specific questions rather than broad ones. Comfortable working across time zones with limited real-time interaction. | The model relies on async handoffs. Poor communication breaks the Input → Build → Review → Publish flow. |
| Process Discipline | Does not begin work until all inputs are confirmed. Updates the tracker at each step. Submits drafts as drafts — not finished products — with clear notes on anything flagged. | Our intake and QA process only works if every resource follows it. This is non-negotiable. |
| Curiosity & Learnability | Genuinely interested in how enterprise systems work and eager to build Oracle Cloud knowledge over time. Engages with the AppsKnowledge Oracle 101 curriculum and asks good questions. | Oracle experience is not required — but the willingness to develop it quickly is. Our best content producers are the ones who get curious about the systems they're documenting. |
| Quality Ownership | Takes ownership of the quality of their own output before it reaches review. Catches errors, inconsistencies, and formatting issues independently. | Onshore leads should be reviewing for content accuracy and client fit — not fixing typos and formatting. |
Tools & Technology
| Content Authoring | Project & Collaboration | Delivery & Publishing |
| * EasyGenerator (primary LMS authoring) * Scribe (process documentation) * Microsoft PowerPoint & Word * Synthesia (video production) * Canva (branded templates) | * Smartsheet (intake tracker & dashboards) * SharePoint (content library) * Microsoft Teams (daily communication) * Outlook (async coordination) | * EasyGenerator (LMS publishing) * SharePoint (client-facing libraries) * Client LMS (as assigned per engagement) * Oracle Cloud (for content reference — training provided) |
What Success Looks Like
In the first 30 days, you will complete the AppsKnowledge Oracle 101 onboarding curriculum, build your first EasyGenerator module and Scribe walk-through from provided inputs, and demonstrate that you can follow the Input → Build → Review → Publish workflow with minimal rework on your submissions.
At 90 days, you are a reliable production resource on active client engagements — delivering to turnaround targets, flagging issues early, maintaining the tracker accurately, and producing content that consistently passes QA review without major revisions.
Long-term, you develop working familiarity with Oracle Cloud modules across Financials, SCM, and HCM, and your content reflects that context — reducing the depth of input required from onshore leads over time.
