Accountabilities
Major Activities
Support new business opportunity qualification through extensive secondary research and data analysis with the objective of supporting the sustainable growth of company
Keep abreast of micro and macro-economic developments in the Renewable Energy space; Generate insights on their impact on Apraava's business and communicate the same to the team
Support the Investment Analysis team with secondary research, data extraction and collation for the project/opportunities being assessed (as and when required)
Perform any analysis as required to support the accurate and exhaustive assessment of the new project/opportunity
Study industry trends and buyers' preferences to ensure availability of information as inputs for business and strategic decisions
Analyze and interpret market scenario and customer research data to help quantify potential investment decisions

Monitoring returns of the portfolio projects and comparing the same with the Investment Case
Supporting the Business Planning team in the annual Business Planning exercise
Develop financial models to facilitate evaluation of any new investment opportunity
Collaborate with the BD & Commercial Renewables team to obtain a preliminary version of the project/opportunity financial model
Interface with concerned team members to gather detailed information for further refining of the financial model
Develop a draft financial model for the evaluation of the opportunity concerned with detailed commercial assessments (such as expenditure analysis, portfolio assessment, value assessment, etc.)
Conduct detailed financial analysis and optimization to generate insights on ROI / IRR / Valuation for the identified business opportunity
Participate in the sensitivity analysis discussions of the draft financial model; refine the model further basis discussion inputs
Maintain an effective repository of all documents for future reference and to facilitate internal / external audits
Facilitate Transactions & Interface with consultants, investment bankers & valuers
Engage with external parties such as consultants, auditors, and investment bankers to share information for facilitating sensitive transactions such as acquisitions, sell-downs / divestitures, impairment, etc.
Interface with internal teams - plant and corporate teams to get appropriate and accurate information.
Review DD & Valuation reports as well as financial models prepared by external parties; highlight and rectify in case of any inconsistencies in consultation internal teams and senior management

Valuation advisors – Carrying out periodic statutory valuation of the portfolio and for taking independent valuation opinion on need basis

6. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Educational Qualifications
Minimum education qualifications for the position: MBA (specialization in Finance) with a graduation in Engineering is preferred
Functional & Behavioral Skills
Should have worked on excel based financial models
Understanding of the Indian Power Industry and its regulatory framework is preferred
Basic knowledge of financial accounting, project appraisal and project financing
Should have a drive to perform and have attention to details
Good Communication Skills
Good with time management and multitasking
Should be team player
Relevant and total years of Experience
2 - 3 years of experience (exposure to power sector is preferred)
