| Accountabilities | * Major Activities |
| Planning andExecution of preventive maintenance | * Plan scheduled maintenance as per maintenance schedule, TSA agreement, and OEM recommendations. * Coordinate planned shutdowns with RLDC/SLDC, beneficiaries, and other utilities. * Execute preventive maintenance activities as per defined procedures. * Supervise maintenance jobs and ensure proper documentation in the maintenance system. * Manage O&M contractor teams for routine maintenance and defect rectification |
| Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Breakdown Maintenance | * Identify equipment faults and initiate immediate remedial actions. * Restore equipment availability in the shortest possible time. * Conduct root-cause analysis and submit failure reports. Implement preventive measures to avoid repetitive failures and availability loss. |
| Condition Monitoring/Outage Management | * Monitor equipment condition through testing and diagnostic activities. * Maintain testing instruments and ensure periodic calibration. * Plan outages in advance and coordinate material and manpower availability. * Execute outages as per schedule and submit outage reports with cost and resource details. |
| Operation Management | * Supervise day-to-day substation operations and switching activities. * Ensure regular substation rounds and defect identification. * Ensure defect logging in computerized maintenance systems and timely closure. * Enforce permit-to-work systems and safety procedures. * Prepare emergency response plans and train site teams |
| Inventory Management | * Review inventory regularly and ensure availability of spares as per CEA guidelines. * Estimate spare requirements for routine maintenance and outages. * Initiate procurement and evaluate technical specifications of spares. * Inspect incoming materials and ensure proper storage and stacking |
| Service Tie-ups & AMC Management | * Define scope of services and initiate service requests. * Evaluate vendors and coordinate timely execution of maintenance services. * Monitor contractor performance, safety, and quality compliance. * Review KPIs periodically and certify contractor invoice |
| HSSE Management | * Implement site-specific HSSE objectives and targets. * Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions. * Carry out risk assessments, MCPs, and JSEAs for maintenance activities. * Monitor statutory compliance and participate in internal and external audits. * Promote a strong safety culture at site. |
| Reporting & Data Management | * Prepare daily, monthly, and annual O&M reports. * Maintain logbooks, asset registers, and testing records. * Prepare MIS, outage, and availability reports for management and regulatory bodies. |
| HSSE Management | * Implement site-specific HSSE objectives and targets. * Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions. * Carry out risk assessments, MCPs, and JSEAs for maintenance activities. * Monitor statutory compliance and participate in internal and external audits. * Promote a strong safety culture at site. |
