Required Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum an Engineering Degree in Chemical/Polymer science, Mechanical or Electrical. Post-Graduation is a plus
  • Experience in sales of specialty chemicals, in application development, in new product development trials and/or troubleshooting at customers
  • Technical knowledge and experience in Glass Industry and Organic Peroxide applications will be an added advantage
  • Good understanding of Engineering and Technical requirement (Emphasis on Process and Chemical)
  • Good organizational and management skills along with ability to teamwork and to interface with various functions in a large corporate organization
  • Understanding of financial basics including international aspects
  • Good English, Hindi and other regional languages skills. Hindi speaking is compulsory.
  • CVs of candidates with previous experience in Glass industry added advantage.

Job Dimension

Ensure business objectives - Sales volume, margins, growth, new business development, manager of key accounts / distributiors / agents, payment collections etc.

Ensure customer intimacy and training on safe handling and storage of products

Ensure technical expertise for new business development trouble shooting at customers.

Job Profile Details

At Arkema, we are looking for Executive Manager - Sales & Marketing to be located at Chennai, India. This position will be reporting to the Sales Director.

Position Responsibilities

  • Sales and Marketing responsibility for Glass Coating and Organic Peroxides
  • Prepare sales budget and ensure their realization
  • Develop business with new customers, new product and application and assure growth continuity
  • Co-ordinate Export activities with Cross-functional department in India and Global entities
  • Assure technical service to customers
  • Manage distributors/agents network
  • Take trials at customer's end, support them to understand the safety about product handling
  • Handle customer complaint in the region
  • Participate actively in Marketing and Communication campaigns
  • Work closely with cross-functional departments
  • Assure Sales forecast and planning
  • Assure all sales activities like Negotiation with key customers/distributors for contracts/Purchase agreement/ Purchase order/Shipment scheduling/Collection of payments, etc.,
  • Establish customer intimacy and collect regular feedback for continuous improvements.
  • Prepare business presentations and reports
  • Assure market insight and MIS activities
