Job Title: MongoDB Engineer
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled MongoDB Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining MongoDB databases. The candidate will ensure high performance, availability, and security of database systems while supporting application development and data engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop MongoDB database architecture.
- Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB clusters (Replica Sets / Sharding).
- Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies.
- Perform database tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Manage data migration and transformation activities.
- Implement security controls including authentication and authorization.
- Troubleshoot production database issues.
- Work closely with application developers and DevOps teams.
- Maintain documentation of database configurations and processes.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB.
- Knowledge of Replica Sets and Sharded Clusters.
- Experience in performance tuning and indexing strategies.
- Good understanding of NoSQL data modeling concepts.
- Experience with MongoDB Atlas (preferred).
- Knowledge of backup and recovery mechanisms.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, etc.).
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Knowledge of scripting (Shell / Python).
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- MongoDB Certification (added advantage).
