Description
The Physical Education (PE) Instructor is responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing structured physical education programs that develop students' physical competence, fitness, and health. The instructor must foster values such as teamwork, discipline, resilience, and a lifelong appreciation for fitness. This role aligns with global standards of physical literacy and incorporates research-based practices to holistically develop students' physical, mental, and social well-being.Key Responsibilities:1- Curriculum & Instructiona. Design and deliver age-appropriate physical education lessons as per CBSE curriculum and National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines.b. Integrate international best practices and research-based approaches in physical fitness, sports education, and motor skill development.c. Ensure structured participation in aerobics, team sports, athletics, and other physical training modules.d. Promote inclusive sports activities that accommodate students of different abilities.2- Assessment & Reportinga. Monitor and evaluate each student's physical development, fitness levels, and participation.b. Maintain accurate records of student progress and generate term-wise physical health and activity reports.3- Discipline & Attendancea. Adhere strictly to the school's attendance policy: no casual or planned leaves are allowed during the academic calendar.b. Leave is permitted only during summer breaks or designated school holidays as per the academic calendar. Earned leave policy will be applied accordingly.c. Promote and model punctuality, discipline, and responsibility to students.d. Lead efforts in schools to address disciplinary issues proactively. Suggest and assist in setting up routines that develops personal hygiene and health of students. 4- Safety & Equipment Managementa. Conduct all activities in a safe manner, ensuring risk assessments and preventive measures are in place.b. Maintain all sports equipment and infrastructure, report damage, and recommend procurements.5- Extracurricular Engagementa. Organize intra-school and inter-school competitions, annual sports days, fitness awareness weeks, and health camps.b. Identify and mentor talented students for zonal, district, and national level competitions.c. Lead coordination of logistics for school events and champion student engagement to foster team spirit. 6- Team Collaboration & Researcha. Collaborate with school counselors, class teachers, and parents to support overall student well-being.b. Participate in professional development programs, review research literature periodically, and propose enhancements in physical education delivery.c. Contribute to curriculum development by incorporating scientifically validated approaches to strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination training.
Eligibility Criteria
B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed from a recognized university. NIS Diploma or equivalent certifications in coaching will be an added advantage.
