Summary:

The BIM Designer – Electrical (MEP) plays a pivotal role in delivering high-accuracy, coordinated, and code-compliant electrical design solutions through advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) techniques. Based at Axium Global's Delivery Centre in Andheri, Mumbai, this position involves developing detailed 3D models and construction documentation for electrical systems across diverse projects. The role requires close collaboration with architects, engineers, and international consulting firms from the UK, USA, Australia, and UAE, ensuring seamless integration of electrical components within the broader MEP design framework. By leveraging BIM technology, the BIM Designer enhances design precision, supports early conflict detection, and contributes to efficient project execution, ultimately driving successful delivery and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, and associated components.
• Coordinate electrical designs with mechanical and plumbing systems to ensure seamless interdisciplinary integration and minimize design conflicts.
• Prepare accurate construction documents, shop drawings, and technical specifications in alignment with project standards and client requirements.
• Perform clash detection and resolution using BIM software to identify and resolve potential issues prior to construction.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to interpret project needs and deliver technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all electrical designs adhere to applicable codes, regulations, and quality standards; conduct regular reviews and updates to models and documentation.

Requirements

• BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• ITI/NCTVT certification in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing drafting with relevant hands-on experience.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in electrical design, with proven expertise in BIM modeling and MEP coordination.
• Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) and familiarity with industry-standard modeling practices.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, building codes, and construction documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
