Software Development Engineer in Test II

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in API testing, load/performance testing, database testing, and strong proficiency in SQL. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to design test scenarios, identify issues, and ensure successful releases. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for backend and API-focused applications. Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, Swagger, or similar. Conduct load and performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or equivalent tools. Perform thorough database testing to validate data integrity, data flow, and backend processes. Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting. Participate in requirements review, ensuring testability and clarity of acceptance criteria. Log defects, track issues, and verify fixes using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify product risks and improve test coverage. Contribute to QA process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices. Ensure testing aligns with CI/CD pipelines (optional if automation is involved). Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2–6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance. Strong hands-on experience in: API Testing (Postman, RestAssured, etc.)
