Clinical Field Specialist — Neonatal Care

Bempu Health

Bengaluru
Full-Time
0-3 Years experience

Description

The Role

This is not a typical sales role. We are looking for someone who understands neonatal care firsthand — a former NICU nurse, pediatric ward clinician, or allied health professional — and wants to use that clinical knowledge to make a broader difference.

You will be BEMPU's face in Bangalore's hospitals and clinics. Your clinical credibility will open doors that a traditional sales rep cannot. You will build genuine relationships with neonatologists and pediatricians, educate them on our devices, and support them in recommending BEMPU products to families in their care.

What You Will Do

Hospital & Clinic Visits

  • Visit neonatal units, pediatric wards, and private clinics across Bangalore — typically 4–6 visits per day
  • Build relationships with neonatologists, pediatricians, and NICU nursing staff
  • Conduct product demonstrations of TempWatch, KangaSling, and BellyButton
  • Educate clinical teams on neonatal hypothermia, apnea, and the evidence base for our devices
  • Follow up consistently to convert interest into adoption and repeat orders

Account Management

  • Manage a portfolio of Bangalore-area hospitals, clinics, and distributors
  • Coordinate with distributors and pharmacies to ensure product availability
  • Track orders, follow up on payments, and maintain account records in Zoho CRM
  • Upsell and cross-sell across BEMPU's product range where clinically appropriate

Market Development

  • Attend neonatal and pediatric conferences and CMEs in Bangalore and surrounding areas
  • Identify and develop new hospital and clinic accounts
  • Gather clinical feedback from doctors and nurses to inform product improvements
  • Report on market trends, competitor activity, and unmet clinical needs

Requirements

Who We Are Looking For

Background

  • 3–5 years of clinical experience in neonatal or pediatric care — NICU nurse, pediatric ward nurse, or allied health professional (dietitian, physiotherapist, clinical educator)
  • Genuine understanding of neonatal challenges — hypothermia, apnea, Kangaroo Mother Care, NICU protocols
  • Looking to transition from bedside care into a role with broader impact and more autonomy

Skills & Qualities

  • Clinical credibility — doctors and nurses trust you because you speak their language
  • Strong communicator — comfortable presenting to a neonatologist or a ward nurse with equal ease
  • Self-driven and organised — you manage your own schedule, track your own pipeline, and follow up without being told
  • Comfortable with ambiguity — this is a growing company, not a structured MNC; you will build the playbook, not follow one
  • Genuine belief in the mission — you will be talking about saving newborn lives, and that should mean something to you

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in medical device sales, clinical education, or pharmaceutical sales
  • Existing relationships with neonatologists or pediatricians in Bangalore
  • Kannada or Telugu language skills (helpful for some clinical settings)

Benefits

Compensation & Structure

We offer a competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus a performance-based commission on revenue above your monthly target threshold. You may also be eligible for the company-wide performance bonuses tied to revenue.

Why Join BEMPU

  • Your work directly reduces neonatal mortality — this is not abstract impact
  • Small team, real ownership — you are not a number here
  • ISO 13485 certified products with 12 years of clinical validation behind them
  • Backed by UNICEF partnerships across 6 countries and GiveWell-linked NGO programs
  • Direct access to the founding team and genuine influence on how the commercial function is built
