Description
Key Purpose of this Role
BiofuelCircle's products and services are used by businesses and individuals in the bioenergy supply chain: from large industries to rural enterprises, to transporters, service providers and farmers.
The Support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and reliability of the BiofuelCircle platform so that internal and external users get prompt and effective solutions to their problems.
What will you do every day
Investigate and resolve issues related to application functionality and performance
Collaborate with the functional support team to help classify issues as software faults or otherwise
Collaborate with the software development team to identify and resolve bugs
Develop scripts to verify that integrations or modules are working as expected
Proactively and regularly monitor application health, take measures to minimise downtime, and make recommendations for system improvements
Perform data imports/exports and maintenance of third-party integrations, as required
Document support processes and maintain knowledge base articles
Assist with database queries and optimisations
Write clean, scalable, maintainable, secure, high performing and efficient code
The ideal candidate profile
- You have between 2 to 4 years of experience in an application support or L2 support role
- You find satisfaction in solving customers' problems and enabling them to get back to using the platform
- You are analytical, with demonstrable problem-solving skills, and can debug/ step through code with ease
- You are conversant in C# and .NET frameworks
- You are acutely familiar with SQL Server or other relational databases, and can write SQL queries
- You are at ease with using version control tools (like Git, Azure DevOps, or similar
- You can coordinate, follow up, follow through and drive matters to closure proactively
- You take ownership and accountability and don't need a manager reminding of tasks or deadlines
- You can work with cross functional and remote teams
- Having worked with cloud-based applications (Azure preferred, or AWS) will give you an advantage over other applicants
- Having worked in an Agile software development environment will also give you an advantage over other applicants
