Our IS&T (Information Services and Technology) department provides all the required technology and operational support services to run our business here in BMC! We have over 200 servers on premises to support production, disaster recovery, databases, applications and over 1000 servers in Lab environment. IS&T is transformational not only for BMC but also for the customer experience, because we give a 360 degrees view to the customer about the products they should know, opportunities in the pipeline, and any service issues outstanding with the customer. We use cutting-edge technologies to manage BMC's infrastructure and showcase it to the customers – program is called BMC on BMC!

BMC is looking for a Network Engineer to join our amazing global team, responsible for BMC's networking infrastructure.

In this role, you will work with a vast & versatile set of technologies. You will collaborate with our awesome team members and support our employees from all around the world. Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

• Configure and install networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware devices.

• Provide technical support for network-related issues and troubleshoot connectivity problems.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on network equipment, such as firmware upgrades and patch installations.

• Participate in design, implementation, and maintenance of local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN).

• Maintain and support corporate wireless networks (Wi-Fi)

• Create documentation for troubleshooting network issues and standard operating procedures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address network requirements for various projects.

• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and end-users to ensure a smooth flow of information regarding network status and issues.

• Work in EMEA working hours & on-calls.

To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• 2-3 years of experience as a Network Engineer, preferably in an Enterprise environment

• Experience with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

• Deep understanding of routing and switching technologies. • Experience with network devices and equipment.

• Knowledge of security protocols and best practices.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

• Availability for EMEA working hours & on-calls.

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

• Experience with F5 or similar Load Balancers

• Experience working with public cloud (preferably AWS).

• B.Sc. in a related field or equivalent industry-recognized certifications such as Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+.
