Quality Assurance Analyst

Key Responsibilities we will trust you with:

1. Requirement Analysis

○ Analyze and understand customer-provided requirements.

○ Prepare and share a query list with the Test Lead to clarify any uncertainties.

2. Test Effort Estimation

○ Participate in test planning meetings to estimate the effort required for testing tasks.

○ Provide accurate time and resource estimates for task completion.

3. Test Cases Documentation

○ Document detailed test cases based on the defined tasks and assigned modules.

○ Ensure that test cases or scenarios are prepared according to organizational standards

and development methodologies.

4. Defect Reporting and Tracking

○ Accurately report bugs observed during testing using appropriate tools and templates.

○ Track reported defects, ensuring they are resolved in accordance with their criticality.

5. Product Improvement Suggestions

○ Utilize your fresh perspective to suggest improvements to the product's usability.

○ Communicate improvement ideas effectively to the Test Lead or relevant stakeholders.

6. Daily Reporting

○ Send daily status reports to the Test Lead, summarizing the testing activities performed

and their status.

○ Use the daily report as a tool to communicate work progress and any blockers.

Requirements

Core Competencies:

1. Educational Background

○ A relevant degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related

field.

2. Experience Level

○ Suitable for individuals with 0-1 year of experience in software testing or a related role.

○ Familiarity with basic testing concepts and eagerness to develop skills further in a

professional environment.

3. Manual Testing Expertise

○ Strong understanding of test cases, test plans, and bug reporting processes.

○ Ability to perform thorough manual testing and identify defects efficiently.

4. Technical Knowledge

○ Basic knowledge of SQL, HTML/CSS, and introductory scripting.

○ Ability to apply technical knowledge to enhance testing accuracy and efficiency.

5. Analytical and Logical Thinking

○ Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot issues in functionality and design.

○ Strong critical thinking skills, particularly in evaluating software behavior.

6. Communication Skills

○ Clear and effective communication, both in reporting bugs and collaborating with team

members.

○ Ability to convey technical information in an understandable manner.

7. Time Management

○ Proficient in prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.

○ Ability to balance multiple tasks and deliver quality work within set timeframes.
