Join us as an iOS Developer to develop and maintain iOS apps and their integration with backend systems. Take responsibility for setting technical direction for groups of applications and similarly related technologies and providing technically robust solutions encompassing all business, architecture, and technology constraints—coordinate development in a matrixed organization by coordinating teams.

Key Responsibilities we'll trust you with

1. Software Development and Delivery

• Develop, test, and maintain iOS applications.
• Deliver apps on time with a complete checklist.
• Ensure timely submission of deliverables (e.g., submissions within 3 hours, change requests within 8 hours, etc.).

2. Product Knowledge and Feature Implementation

• Gain deep knowledge of the product and its flow.
• Stay updated with Shopify-related news and updates.
• Implement new features as required, ensuring adherence to specifications.

3. Client Interaction and Communication

• Engage in client discussions, ensuring responses are provided within a maximum delay of 15 minutes.
• Maintain a positive relationship with clients, handling their suggestions regarding counts and usability.

4. Code Quality and Development Practices

• Focus on core development with minimal reliance on third-party libraries.
• Write centralized, object-oriented code (OOP) to improve code reuse and maintainability.
• Minimize code complexity and ensure the code is neat, clean, and well-commented.
• Ensure no crashes and avoid using deprecated functions.

5. Project Management and Reporting

• Participate in sprint planning and ensure tasks are well-defined in JIRA with proper estimation, time tracking, descriptions, comments, and task approval.
• Provide weekly (45 hours) and monthly (180 hours) reporting in a predefined format.
• Report on the progress and productivity of junior developers weekly.

6. Quality Assurance and Code Review

• Conduct thorough code reviews and ensure documentation of each integration.
• Ensure integration sprints are completed on time and that code adheres to quality standards.

7. Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Learning

• Share new learnings and updates about coding frameworks with the team.
• Report any mistakes or potential issues with proper details to the team lead (TL).
• Actively engage in knowledge-sharing sessions.

8. Time Management and Task Efficiency

• Manage tasks effectively to meet deadlines, with clear estimations and time tracking.
• Respond to Business Development Associate (BDA) queries within 10 minutes.
• Handle customization requests as per the decided timeline.

Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in native iOS development
• Basic development standards and concepts are familiar to you
• New technologies always catch your eye, and you are eager to test them out
• An individual with a proven track record of technical accomplishments.
• Proficient in Objective-C, Swift, and Cocoa Touch.
• Knowledge of object-oriented principles/programming
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications with backend services.
• Knowledge of the XCode development environment.
• Knowledge of the Cocoa framework, Coredata, and Sqlite.
• Hands-on with JSON, XML, and JavaScript
• Use Git as a source control tool (GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket)
• Knowledge of third-party libraries and APIs.
• Possess a robust and self-managing work ethic.
• App development experience (will be an added advantage)
