Linux Engineer (with Zabbix Experience)

Chi Networks is looking to hire an L2 Linux Engineer with hands-on experience in Linux administration and Zabbix monitoring. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting production environments in a 24×7 managed services setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2-level support for Linux-based systems (production and non-production)
• Monitor system health and performance using Zabbix
• Investigate alerts, incidents, and performance issues and take corrective actions
• Handle escalations from L1 support teams and ensure SLA adherence
• Perform routine system administration tasks (user management, patching, services)
• Assist with server hardening, security updates, and capacity monitoring.
• Coordinate with network, storage, and application teams during incident resolution
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, and monitoring configurations
• Participate in rotational shifts supporting 24×7×365 operations

Requirements

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Linux system administration (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu)
• Strong hands-on experience with Zabbix monitoring (configuration, alerts, dashboards)
• Good knowledge of:

• Linux OS internals, processes, and services
• Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, ports)
• Shell scripting (basic to intermediate)

• Experience working in a ticketing / ITIL-based support environment
• Exposure to virtualization or cloud platforms is a plus
