Creative expression is all about putting across your thoughts without limitations. We, at Cityscope would love for you to do just that. Whether you have a flair for writing an article or producing a video, we have got you covered. Being a local information, news and commerce platform, we are always looking to feature good stories and magnify your voices.

Who can contribute?

You don't have to be a professional writer, video producer or photographer. If you have something enriching and value-adding to share - be it about a person, place, product or point at issue, put pen to paper or capture it on camera. And, share it with us.What kind of content are we looking for? Go through the Cityscope website and look at the kind of topics/issues covered as well as how it's presented. However, this does not mean you need to restrain yourself. Here are a few examples:

  1. Articles including feature or news stories, individual profiles, in-depth pieces, opinions, listicles, etc.
  2. Photo collections
  3. Videos in conjunction with interviews, tutorials, stories, news
  4. Memes, illustrations, comic strips, technology tips, mythbusters, data driven visualisations. Let your imagination run free! If it's interesting to you, others will also find it so.

How long should the articles and videos be?

Articles can run anywhere from 500 to 800 words and should be accompanied with appropriate images. Some may run longer (to a maximum of 1,000 words) if they're really compelling. Videos can run up to 3 to 4 minutes.

How does the process work?

  1. Do not forget to include some details about yourself and your background and/ or interests. In case your work has been published previously, send us the relevant links.2. We will go through it and get back to you (usually in a week or two) to let you know if we can publish it along with feedback.
  2. All images and other multimedia elements in the work submitted, should be original or from a public domain or used with the permission of the owner.
  3. Articles need to be sent in a Google document. google drive for Images and videos
  4. If your work is published, you will retain all rights to your article or video or pictures and be given due credit. However, they cannot be republished on any other platform.
  5. Your article or piece of work will contain your name on a byline.We can also include a link to your website (if you have one) and contact information (if applicable and requested by you)
