Job Summary

This hybrid role seeks a product specialist with three to five years of experience in SQL Openshift BIRT reports Java Python and IBM Maximo Asset Management combined with strong bioinformatics domain expertise to enhance enterprise asset solutions that support scientific operations and deliver reliable digital products for research focused organizations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to refine product requirements for asset management solutions that support scientific and bioinformatics workflows in a hybrid work model
• Design and configure IBM Maximo Asset Management to align asset hierarchies maintenance plans and work flows with specialized laboratory and research equipment needs
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to support operational reporting dashboards and analytics that give stakeholders clear visibility into asset performance and utilization trends
• Build and maintain BIRT reports that present complex operational and scientific asset data in formats that are intuitive for technical and nontechnical audiences
• Implement and enhance Java based components that integrate Maximo with upstream and downstream laboratory information systems and enterprise applications
• Create Python scripts and tools that automate data validation data transformation and data quality checks across bioinformatics and asset management datasets
• Deploy and support solutions on Openshift by configuring containers monitoring resources and coordinating with platform teams for reliable and secure operations
• Analyze bioinformatics domain workflows to map experimental processes to asset usage and to ensure that digital products accurately support research lifecycle activities
• Document functional specifications configuration decisions and standard operating procedures so teams can operate and enhance the product with clarity and consistency
• Provide day to day user support by troubleshooting incidents answering queries and recommending improvements that enhance usability and productivity
• Evaluate product performance metrics and user feedback to propose enhancements that improve system stability feature usability and scientific outcome alignment
• Coordinate with quality and compliance teams to ensure that configurations and customizations follow organizational guidelines and support regulated laboratory environments
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing domain knowledge identifying process gaps and suggesting automation opportunities that advance the company purpose of enabling better science through technology

Qualifications

• Possess three to five years of hands on experience with SQL including query tuning creation of complex joins and development of reusable data access patterns for reporting and analytics
• Demonstrate practical experience configuring and supporting IBM Maximo Asset Management including work management inventory and asset lifecycle capabilities tailored for scientific environments
• Exhibit working knowledge of Openshift with experience creating and managing application deployments handling configuration changes and collaborating with infrastructure teams to resolve issues
• Show proven ability in BIRT report development including layout design parameter handling and integration with transactional data sources used in operational reporting
• Apply solid programming skills in Java and Python to build integration components automation scripts and data processing utilities that connect Maximo with research and bioinformatics tools
• Bring mandatory domain experience in bioinformatics with familiarity in laboratory processes scientific data flows and the specific asset needs of research organizations
• Demonstrate strong communication and documentation skills to translate technical concepts into clear guidance for product owners business analysts and operational users while working effectively in a hybrid model

Certifications Required

IBM Certified Deployment Professional Maximo plus any relevant cloud or container certification such as Red Hat Openshift Administration
