Cluster Engineer

Project Name: Scaling-up EE/RE implementation in Forging Clusters

Position: Cluster Engineer

Qualification and Experience Required:

·        B.E./B.Tech Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical

·        Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial energy efficiency including MSME sector

·        Experience in Forging sector is desirable but not mandatory

Language: Fluency in the local language is a mandatory requirement for this position

Location: The engineers will be working from local CII office/Association office in the following clusters

* In case the above Cluster(s) change during the project period, the Cluster Engineer may be transferred to the new location

Nature of duties and responsibilities

·        Prepare technology compendium with cost benefit analysis for the sector.

·        Create market for EE and RE technologies in the cluster

·        Seek Expression of Interests from the units for implementation of selected EE/RE technologies

·        Coordination with SME units for effective implementations of identified projects

·        Facilitate for implementation support to the enterprises by involving local service providers and technology suppliers

·        Develop case studies on successfully implemented projects

·        Submission of quarterly project progress reports

·        Capacity building activities

·        Train shop floor personnel, plant supervisors and other stakeholders during implementation support and field visits

·        Meetings/visits/any other cluster level assignments related to the cluster

·        Liaison with the local associations and agencies like department of industries, other government & financial institutions.

·        Organise awareness programmes and workshops in the cluster
