Assistant Professor

About the Role:

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Hospitality Faculty to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and assessment of Hospitality F&B (or) Housekeeping courses, aligning with industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of F&B (or) Housekeeping operations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for student success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective teaching materials aligned with TAFE NSW curriculum and industry standards.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, including lectures, demonstrations, workshops, simulations, and industry placements.
• Assess student learning effectively through a range of methods, including written assignments, practical assessments, presentations, and projects.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their progress and performance.
• Maintain accurate student records and academic documentation.
• Supervise and mentor students during practical training and industry placements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience in F&B (or) Housekeeping operations.

Skill Set:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS)
• Experience with online assessment tools
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
