Job Summary
The Collection Executive will be responsible for managing and recovering outstanding debts from customers in the Jamshedpur region, ensuring timely collections and maintaining positive customer relationships.
Job Responsibilities
* Contact customers via phone, email, and in-person visits to negotiate payment plans and resolve overdue accounts.
* Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and initiate collection procedures.
* Maintain accurate records of collection activities, customer communications, and payment agreements.
* Investigate and resolve customer queries and disputes related to billing and payments.
* Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer issues and facilitate collections.
* Prepare and submit regular reports on collection status, outstanding debts, and recovery rates.
* Adhere to company policies and legal regulations regarding debt collection practices.
* Identify and escalate high-risk accounts to senior management for further action.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve collection efficiency and reduce bad debt.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in collections, recovery, or a similar customer-facing role.
* Proven ability to negotiate effectively and resolve payment issues.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Knowledge of local collection laws and regulations.
* Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of accounts.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Jamshedpur as required.
