Job Description

The Team:

S&P Global Commodity Insights provides essential intelligence for global commodity markets. Our team ensures data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility while driving innovation through technologies and data management practices. Joining this team provides you the opportunity to play a key role in advancing the future of commodity data and analytics in an innovative and evolving landscape.

Responsibilities and Impact:

This role includes key duties include comprehensive data management and analysis, where data is meticulously gathered from multiple sources such as Salesforce, Finance, Oracle, Salesforce CPQ and various product teams. This involves cleaning and organizing datasets to derive valuable insights for client deliverables, working on Snowflake to govern the database and identify which data needs to be masked based on PII, OFAC and other sanctions based on the directions given by the compliance. Additionally, the role entails working closely with stakeholders from Finance, Product and commercial operations teams to make sure relevant data is being processed inside our CRM and Marketo systems. Project coordination is also crucial, involving the organization and tracking of project timelines and deliverables, leading multidisciplinary teams, developing trackers, provide regular updates to all the stakeholders and preparing essential meeting materials and status reports. Quality assurance is maintained through the review of deliverables and peer evaluations. Furthermore, diligent documentation management to ensure accuracy and standardization across project-related materials.

Data Governance & Data Warehouse Management

• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability through data validation processes and regular quality assurance reviews.
• Manage and resolve incidents and support requests related to data backfills, data updates, reporting, Salesforce, and Marketo.
• Apply and maintain object tagging frameworks to effectively classify and manage sensitive data assets.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Leverage Snowflake to extract and analyze complex datasets, delivering business solutions through Power BI reporting and visualization.
• Review reporting outputs and deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with business standards.
• Conduct peer reviews of documentation and presentations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established guidelines.

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Plan, organize, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful execution and on-time completion.
• Lead cross-functional teams by clearly communicating project goals, expectations, and priorities to drive successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet business requirements and quality standards.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Salesforce, SOQL, Data Migration, Data Quality tool, Snowflake and Power BI
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Familiarity with data management technologies, database administration, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent project ownership, influencing and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Work Experience:
  • 4-7 years of experience in a similar analyst role, preferably within consulting or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of applications such as Salesforce, Marketo, Oracle & Zuora platforms.
• Ability to work in an agile environment with focus on LEAN approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Certifications: -
  • Salesforce Admin or Salesforce Business Analyst
  • PMP or Prince2
  • Microsoft Power BI
  • Alteryx, Power Automate or any similar automation tool
  • Gen AI/Agentic AI related course (Good to have)
