Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive System Support Engineer or System Admin (L1 & L2). The ideal candidate will provide 1st and 2nd Level Technical Support to end-users , manage and monitor the network , and take responsibility for IT security and documenting system configurations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Support & User Assistance (L1 & L2)
- Provide 1st & 2nd Level Technical Support to end-users and proficiently handle escalated calls.
- Answer technical queries and assist users , including training users.
- Provide remote support and net meeting support using Team Viewer, VNC Server, Anydesk Remote Software, and Remote Desktop.
- Troubleshoot Hardware and application software , and troubleshoot any reported problems.
- Resolve hardware problems , perform maintenance of computer hardware systems and system assembly , and replace laptop parts to solve hardware related issues.
- Perform Laptop and Desktop Trouble Shooting.
2. Software & Operating System Management
- Install OS Windows 11, Windows 10, MS office 2016 & 19, and O365 , and work on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Perform software installation including Team Viewer, Anydesk, Go To Meeting, VPN, etc. , as well as installation and configuration of internal softwares.
- Troubleshoot MS Office related issues remotely.
- Configure, backup, and troubleshoot Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express , including remote troubleshooting/configuration of MS Outlook.
- Format PCs and take backups , and perform data backup and data transfer from one system to another system through the network or Cross Cable.
3. System & Network Administration
- Manage systems in Domain and Workgroup.
- Configure and manage DNS, DHCP, WSUS, VPN & Active Directory.
- Create and manage Domain and user accounts , including creating domain users in Active Directory and local users.
- Add, remove, or update user account information and reset passwords.
- Assign access rights and permissions to use internet facilities.
- Ensure that the network infrastructure is up and running , performing LAN I/O Port Configuration and LAN Crimping for Net Connectivity.
- Configure, add, and delete file systems.
- Ensure parity between dev, test and production environments.
- Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems , and perform system performance tuning.
- Plan and manage the machine room environment.
4. IT Asset & Infrastructure Management
- Maintain the assets of PCs and laptops and manage all the inventory of PCs.
- Maintain all systems in an Inventory Excel for verifying purposes on a quarterly base.
- Install and configure new hardware and software.
- Install and configure Network printers & Scanners and perform basic level troubleshooting.
- Install and configure KOT and Barcode printers and troubleshoot the Barcode screener.
5. Security, Compliance & Vendor Coordination
- Take responsibility for security.
- Install Antivirus, Patches & Updates , and apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Perform Anti-Virus installation and Software installation by Remote Desktop , updating McAfee Antivirus and remotely running E SCAN QUICK HIL.
- Carry out Quarterly governance for user systems and apply settings and services as per the organization policy.
- Perform preventive maintenance activity in all systems on a Quarterly Basis.
- Generate Daily and weekly Checklists.
- Coordinate with vendors , including various vendors for instant troubleshooting of application related issues faced by users
