Software - QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented

Manual Testing Engineer

with

3 years of experience

in software testing. The ideal candidate should have experience in functional, regression, integration, and API testing, along with a strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect management, and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business and functional requirements.

Design, review, and execute test cases and test scenarios.

Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).

Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing.

Execute manual testing for web and mobile applications.

Perform basic API testing using Postman or similar tools.

Validate data using SQL queries.

Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams.

Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

Prepare test reports and maintain testing documentation.

Ensure product quality before release.

Required Skills

3 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing.

Strong knowledge of

SDLC

Good understanding of:

System Testing

Experience in writing and executing test cases.

Knowledge of Defect Life Cycle and defect reporting.

Hands-on experience with

Basic knowledge of

Good understanding of

HTTP methods

(GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) and REST APIs.

Working knowledge of SQL for database validation.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

2-4 years of experience in Software QA Engineering

Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools

Experience with manual and automated testing techniques

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
