Description
As a FOS (First-Party Collections) representative, you will be the face of Digitide Solutions, interacting with customers to resolve their financial obligations. Your primary goal is to maintain positive relationships while effectively managing the collections process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to navigate sensitive financial discussions.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers with outstanding debts, ensuring a professional and courteous interaction.
- Conduct thorough financial assessments of customers to determine the best course of action for debt recovery.
- Negotiate and agree on suitable repayment plans, considering the customer's financial situation and our client's interests.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and repayment progress, ensuring data integrity.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal and finance, to ensure a seamless and efficient collections process.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices, implementing them to enhance our collections strategy.
- Provide regular updates to customers on their account status, ensuring transparency and building trust.
- Escalate complex or sensitive cases to the appropriate team leads or managers for further guidance.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, even in challenging situations, by offering empathetic and effective solutions.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve our collections process, suggesting innovative ideas and strategies.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in collections or debt recovery.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt to different communication styles.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset and a track record of building positive relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of collections industry regulations and best practices is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to finding solutions.
- A high level of empathy and the ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in challenging situations.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
