Job Description:

Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital & Research Centre is looking for a dedicated Chief Radiotherapy Technologist to join our team in Bhopal. In this role, you will provide specialized radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer, working closely with our multidisciplinary oncology team. As a Chief Radiotherapy Technologist at Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, you will explain the radiation therapy process to patients, address their concerns, and offer emotional support throughout their treatment journey. Your responsibilities will include monitoring patients' reactions to therapies and conducting quality assurance tests on simulation and treatment machines to maintain optimal functionality.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized radiation therapy treatments to patients at Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, collaborating closely with the oncology team.
• Explain the radiation therapy process to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Administer radiation therapies according to prescribed patient treatment plans.
• Utilize medical imaging equipment to ensure the accurate delivery of treatments.
• Evaluate patients' reactions to treatments and offer guidance on potential side effects, suggesting methods for alleviating them.
• Monitor patients' progress throughout treatment and propose modifications to treatment plans as needed.
• Offer ongoing support to patients and their families, addressing emotional and practical needs.
• Conduct quality assurance tests on simulation and treatment machines to ensure optimal functionality.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to adapt treatment plans based on patient response.

Requirements:

• Hold a valid certification as a Radiotherapy Technologist.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of radiation therapy techniques and equipment.
• Demonstrated experience in administering radiation therapies and operating medical imaging equipment.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively explain treatment processes to patients and provide emotional support.
