Job Description:

Reliance Retail is seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmacist to join our team in Chhattisgarh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications to both inpatient and outpatient pharmacies, ensuring medication safety, and maintaining stock records. You will play a critical role in providing excellent customer service by handling patient queries, managing medication inventories, and ensuring compliance with regulatory pharmacy laws. We are looking for someone who is process-driven, knowledgeable about pharmacy operations, and proficient in MS Office and SAP.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescribed medications to inpatients and outpatients, ensuring accurate and timely service.
• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and check for possible medication interactions, maintaining zero medication errors at Reliance Retail.
• Monitor the expiration dates of medications while dispensing and ensure that expired medicines are not sold.
• Conduct regular stocktaking of near-expiry medications and return them to the vendor as per store protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of drug purchases and sales, including prescription drugs and Over-The-Counter (OTC) drugs at Reliance Retail.
• Increase OTC sales by effectively promoting OTC products to customers.
• Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring that stock is replenished on time to avoid shortages.
• Handle cash register transactions, ensuring accurate billing and record-keeping.
• Address patient queries about medications, providing detailed information on drug usage and potential side effects.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory pharmacy laws and standards, maintaining the highest level of safety and quality control at Reliance Retail.

Requirements:

• A diploma in pharmacy (D. Pharmacy) with at least 3 years of experience or a bachelor's degree in pharmacy (B. Pharmacy) with 1 year of experience after registration.
• Registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
• Strong attention to detail to ensure zero medication errors and compliance with pharmacy regulations.
• Ability to handle both inpatient and outpatient pharmacies efficiently.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, with knowledge of SAP preferred for inventory management.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills to build positive relationships with patients and customers at Reliance Retail.
• Process-oriented with the ability to follow standard procedures in medication dispensing and inventory management.
• Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) drugs and the ability to promote and sell them effectively.
