Responsibilities:

• Manage the handover and takeover of reports regarding new admissions, critical cases, surgeries, and other significant incidents during shifts at Rainbow Children's Hospital.
• Ensure punctuality and staff deployment across wards or sections to maintain smooth hospital operations.
• Check daily duty assignments and nursing care plans for efficient patient care.
• Visit all new admissions, monitor patients scheduled for discharge, and interact with VIPs and critically ill patients.
• Attend to emergencies, including Code Blue situations, and report all incidents to superiors.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of essential nursing materials and inventory.
• Conduct daily rounds to assess patient needs, monitor staff performance, and ensure patient safety.
• Improve the professional knowledge of staff by conducting bedside training and regular classes.
• Prepare and submit daily reports on critically ill patients, VIPs, and any untoward incidents.
• Coordinate the functional aspects of the department, including staff supervision, duty rosters, and service activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) from a recognized institution.
• Valid Nursing Registration to practice at Rainbow Children's Hospital.
• 1-3 years of post-qualification nursing experience in pediatric or general healthcare settings.
• Experience in critical care or emergency care is an added advantage.
• Strong ability to handle emergencies and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals and patients' families.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, manage inventories, and follow healthcare regulations.
