Job Description:

Swaasa is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist/Speech Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Pune, Mumbai, and Visakhapatnam. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in children aged 2.5 to 18 years. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including psychologists, educators, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care that supports the development and well-being of our young patients.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using standardized tests, clinical observations, and interviews.

• Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals, utilizing evidence-based therapy techniques.

• Therapy Sessions: Provide direct therapy services to children, facilitating exercises and activities to improve communication skills, articulation, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing function.

• Patient Education: Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication disorders, therapy strategies, and techniques to support ongoing progress. Offer guidance on home exercises and adaptive devices.

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.

• Collaboration: Work closely with psychologists and other team members to coordinate comprehensive care for patients with complex needs. Participate in team meetings and case conferences.

• Professional Development: Stay updated with advances in speech-language pathology through continuing education, workshops, and professional conferences. Pursue licensure and specialized training to enhance clinical skills.

• Compliance and Ethics: Adhere to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold principles of cultural competence and diversity.

Additional Information:

• Candidates should be ready to settle in Pune for a minimum of 2 years.

• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and documentation.

• Knowledge of assistive technology, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, and therapeutic modalities is required.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards is a must.
