Role Overview

The Designer cum R&D Associate will be responsible for apparel design, product development, research, sampling, and innovation. This role requires a strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, technical specifications, and market trends. The candidate will collaborate closely with production teams to ensure designs are commercially viable and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Design uniforms for multiple industry segments.
• Research market trends, fabrics, trims, silhouettes, and functional apparel innovations.
• Develop seasonal and client-specific design concepts.
• Create technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator.
• Prepare detailed Tech Packs.
• Develop BOMs for garments.
• Conduct fabric and trim sourcing research.
• Evaluate fabric performance based on application.
• Coordinate sample development with production teams.
• Review sample fit, construction, and finishing.
• Prepare measurement charts and grading specifications.
• Maintain design documentation and development records.
• Conduct competitor benchmarking.
• Participate in client presentations when required.
• Support cost optimization through alternative materials and construction techniques.
• Coordinate with vendors for sample fabrics and trims.
• Ensure all designs meet production feasibility and quality standards.
