Qualification ITI / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or any relevant technical discipline. Key Responsibilities Follow the daily production plan and achieve defined production targets. Allocate manpower across different production activities based on operational requirements. Monitor worker attendance, productivity, and performance. Ensure workers follow standard production processes and work instructions. Monitor production quality and minimize rejection, rework, and process deviations. Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage. Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other support functions to ensure smooth production. Report machine breakdowns and production-related issues to the concerned team. Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and proper use of PPE on the shop floor. Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping, and 5S standards in the production area. Maintain daily production, manpower, quality, and shift-related records. Support the Production Manager in improving productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. Maintain discipline and good working practices among shop-floor employees. Conduct effective shift handovers and communicate pending activities, issues, and priorities to the next shift. Identify operational issues and support timely corrective actions. Skills Required Basic knowledge of manufacturing and production processes. Good manpower handling and team coordination skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain production records. Ability to work effectively in shifts. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong teamwork and coordination skills. Knowledge of 5S, safety practices, quality, and productivity will be an added advantage.
