Position Title

**Supervisor / Engineer / Project Manager – Signalling & Telecommunications (S&T)

Department

Signalling & Telecommunications (S&T) Work Location: PAN India (Project Site Based Deployment) with flexibility to travel and relocate as per project requirements. Industry Railway / Metro / Transportation Infrastructure Employment Type Full–Time Job Purpose To execute, supervise, and manage Signalling & Telecommunications (S&T) activities including installation, testing & commissioning, maintenance, integration, and project coordination for railway and metro infrastructure projects. The role shall ensure safe, quality, and timely delivery of S&T systems in compliance with project specifications, railway standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Site Management

• Execute and supervise installation, testing & commissioning of Signalling & Telecom systems as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
• Ensure adherence to approved methodologies, safety procedures, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
• Monitor daily site activities and coordinate with engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Track project progress and support achievement of project milestones.

Signalling Systems

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of:
  • Electronic / Relay Interlocking Systems
  • Track Circuits
  • Axle Counter Systems
  • Block Signalling Systems
  • Point Machines & Crossings
  • Signal Posts, Route Indicators & Associated Equipment
• Ensure compliance with Indian Railways, RDSO, Metro, and client specifications.

Telecom Systems

• Supervise installation and commissioning of:
  • OFC/OFCC Networks
  • CCTV Systems
  • Passenger Announcement (PA) Systems
  • Telephone & Communication Systems
  • Data Networking Systems
  • Master Clock Systems
  • Control Communication Systems

Testing & Commissioning

• Conduct inspections, testing, pre‐commissioning, and commissioning activities.
• Identify deficiencies, prepare snag lists, and ensure timely closure.
• Coordinate interface testing with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Support integrated system testing and final commissioning activities.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with Civil, Electrical, OHE, Power Supply, Rolling Stock, and Operations teams.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and statutory authorities.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide technical inputs.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain:
  • Daily / Weekly / Monthly Progress Reports
  • Inspection Reports
  • Test Records
  • Checklists
  • As‐Built Drawings
  • Commissioning Documentation
• Ensure proper document control and compliance records.

Safety & Quality

• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures.

Qualification

Essential

• Diploma (3 Years) in Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunication Engineering

Preferred

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunication Engineering

Experience

Supervisor – S&T

• 5–8 Years of experience in Railway / Metro Signalling & Telecom projects.
• Hands‐on experience in installation, testing & commissioning activities.

Engineer / Senior Engineer – S&T

• 8–12 Years of experience in Railway / Metro / Transportation Infrastructure projects.
• Experience in execution, testing, commissioning, and stakeholder coordination.

Project Manager – S&T

• 12–18+ Years of experience in Railway / Metro EPC projects.
• Proven experience in managing end‐to‐end S&T project execution, client coordination, planning, resource management, and project delivery.

Technical Competencies

• Knowledge of Railway Signalling Systems and principles.
• Understanding of Interlocking, Block Signalling, Track Circuits, Axle Counters, and Point Machines.
• Knowledge of Telecom Systems including OFCC, CCTV, PA, Networking, and Communication Systems.
• Familiarity with Indian Railways, RDSO, Metro Rail, and international standards where applicable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and layouts.
• Understanding of testing, commissioning, and integration procedures.
• Knowledge of project planning, quality assurance, and safety practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Adani Railway Projects or large EPC Infrastructure Projects.
• Exposure to integrated railway systems and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience in brownfield and greenfield railway infrastructure projects.
• Experience working with Indian Railways, Metro Rail Corporations, DFCCIL, or private railway operators.
