• Performance Strategy & Governance
• Define performance engineering roadmap, NFRs, and capacity planning aligned with Infosys delivery frameworks.
• Act as Performance SME during architecture reviews, release go/no-go decisions, and production RCA.
• Drive performance KPIs, SLIs/SLOs, and golden signals for critical services.
• Performance Testing & Automation
• Design and execute load, stress, spike, endurance, and soak tests using Apache JMeter.
• Develop reusable test frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle).
• Implement parameterization, correlation, custom samplers, and distributed load generation.
• Application & JVM Optimization
• Hands-on tuning for Java/Spring Boot microservices deployed on Kubernetes/Docker.
• Expertise in JVM internals (GC algorithms, heap, thread scheduling) and tools like JFR, JMC, VisualVM.
• Analyze thread contention, GC pauses, memory leaks, CPU hotspots; recommend code-level optimizations.
• Middleware & API Performance
• Optimize Tomcat, JBoss/WildFly for thread pools, connection pools, async processing.
• Govern RESTful API performance, OpenAPI contracts, and Apigee API Gateway policies for scalability and security.
• Database Performance Engineering
• Tune Oracle/PostgreSQL queries, execution plans, indexing strategies, and connection pooling.
• Correlate DB metrics with application and infrastructure telemetry.
• Cloud & Container Performance
• Drive Kubernetes resource sizing, pod scheduling, and JVM tuning inside containers
• Debug using kubectl, logs, metrics; optimize deployments for VMware-based environments
