Currently, around 4,000 employees are working at CARIAD on the digital transformation of the car. CARIAD is working intensively on the software and technology platform for Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The first vehicles based on PPE will be the electric Porsche Macan and Audi Q6 e-tron. At the core of CARIAD is the development of the unified and scalable software and technology platform E³ 2.0 for all Group brands. E³ stands for 'end to end electronics architecture'. The new software and technology platform is built from scratch and will be used first at the end of 2024 in Artemis, the lighthouse project of Audi. As of 2026, E³ 2.0 is due to be scaled by the Volkswagen brand with Trinity in the volume segment.

About our Group

CARIAD COE (Centre of Excellence) is setup in Bangalore, India working exclusively with CARIAD and associated VW groups with the focus on development of 'VW.OS". The areas of work involve development of platform components such as firmware, boot loaders, AUTOSAR, Linux/QNX BSP, Service oriented architecture-based middleware components.

Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Software Quality Process Assurance Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in automotive software development environments. The role focuses on supporting process compliance, participating in audits, and contributing to process improvement initiatives aligned with automotive standards such as ASPICE and ISO 26262.

The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of process governance, lifecycle compliance, and quality KPIs, with the ability to work closely with project teams to ensure adherence to defined quality frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation and maintenance of QMS processes, templates, and checklists for software development lifecycle activities.

Assist in preparing and executing QA plans, checklists, and compliance reviews.

  Support adherence to automotive standards such as ASPICE and ISO 26262 under guidance.

  Planning, coordination, and execution of internal audits, ASPICE assessments, and ISO compliance activities; assist in tracking and closure of non-conformities (NCs).

  Help in identifying process gaps and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

  Collect, track, and report process compliance and product quality metrics (KPIs) and highlight potential risks or deviations.

  Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to CARIAD standards, OEM-specific requirements, and safety/security regulations.

  Assist in preparing documentation and reports for audits and management reviews.

Support process improvement initiatives and quality-related activities within projects.

Contribute to training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities on quality processes and standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field).

2–3 years of experience in software quality assurance or process assurance (preferably automotive domain).

Experience or exposure with ASPICE Level -II methodologies and ISO 26262 standards.

  Familiarity with SDLC models such as Agile, V-Model, or Waterfall.

Understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and process compliance.

Knowledge of audits, gap analysis, and defect tracking.

Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Competencies & Skills

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) governance.

Ability to analyze data & generate reports from tools like Excel, JIRA, Code beamer etc.

  Willingness to learn and adapt to automotive quality standards.

Good interpersonal and stakeholder coordination skills.

Nice to Have

Exposure to ASPICE assessments or ISO 26262 projects.

 Knowledge of tools like Power BI (basic).
