QA Engineer

Position: QA Engineer

Job responsibilities:

• Proficiency in various QA methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, depending on the company's development process.
• Familiarity with QA testing tools and frameworks, including test management and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
• Collaborating with project stakeholders to understand requirements and create detailed test plans. Define test objectives, strategies, and timelines based on project requirements.
• Conducting functional, regression, and performance testing of software applications.
• Proficiency in identifying, documenting, and managing software defects. Understanding of defect life cycles and the ability to work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and QA methodologies and simultaneously make improvements to enhance the overall quality assurance process.
• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior QA team members. Lead by example and promote a culture of quality within the team.
• Effective coordination with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality and timely releases.

Proficiency in various QA methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, depending on the company's development process. Familiarity with QA testing tools and frameworks, including test management and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). The ability to design comprehensive and effective test cases based on software requirements and user stories. Strong documentation skills for creating test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports ensuring thorough test coverage based on project requirements. Basic knowledge of SQL and the ability to perform database testing by writing and executing SQL queries for data validation.
