| Years of Experience | ü 0–5 years post‑PhD (or final‑year PhD candidates) ü Hands‑on experience with: • Unmanned systems (UAV / UGV / USV) • Electric motors, powertrains, or autonomy systems • Exposure to industry projects, startups, or applied research labs preferred |
| Position Summary | ü The PhD Research Fellow / Faculty will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering foundational training programs for eP University, focused on unmanned systems and electric propulsion. ü This role bridges deep academic knowledge with industry‑ready learning delivery, contributing to: • Course curriculum design • Simulation‑based labs • Technical content creation • Instructor‑led training delivery ü The position offers a unique opportunity to shape India's first propulsion‑centric unmanned systems academy, while building long‑term academic–industry credentials. ü Key Objectives • Develop high‑quality foundational course content for unmanned systems • Translate complex engineering concepts into industry‑friendly learning • Design simulation‑based practical labs and assessments • Deliver instructor‑led and blended learning programs • Contribute to the academic credibility and IP of eP UniversityGrow the training function into a multi-faculty, multi-program operation over time. |
Roles & Responsibilities
Curriculum & Content Development
Own 1–2 modules from the eP University Foundational Course, such as:
o Introduction to Unmanned Systems
o Common System Architecture
o UAV / UGV / USV Systems
o Motor & Powertrain Fundamentals (eP Core)
o Autonomy, Navigation, or System Integration
Create:
o Teaching decks and visual explanations
o Instructor scripts and board‑work flows
o Learner handbooks and reference notes
o Training Videos
Simulation & Practical Lab Design
Design simulation‑based labs using platforms such as:
o CloudShare
o MATLAB / Python‑based models
o System block‑diagram simulations
o Create parameter‑driven exercises (e.g. thrust vs payload, motor efficiency)
o Develop real‑world engineering scenarios and "what‑if" analysis labs
Training Delivery
Deliver instructor**‑**led sessions (classroom / virtual / hybrid)
Facilitate:
o Design discussions
o Case‑based learning
o Engineering trade‑off debates
o Support learner queries and mentoring during cohorts
Assessment & Certification Support
Design:
o Conceptual MCQs
o Scenario‑based questions
o Design justification problems
o Support Skillable‑style assessment center activities
o Participate in certification evaluation and grading discussions
Technical Skills
Strong fundamentals in at least one domain:
o Electric motors & drives
o UAV / UGV / USV system design
o Control systems & autonomy
o Navigation & sensor fusion
Ability to explain engineering concepts without heavy mathematics
Familiarity with:
o Simulation tools
o Block‑diagram modelling
o Basic data analysis
