Product Manager – Trading in our office in Bengaluru

We're looking for a product leader with a passion for platform performance, scalability, and high-quality digital experiences. You'll play a pivotal role in driving the performance and reliability of Equiti's proprietary trading platforms — ensuring clients around the world enjoy a fast, seamless, and resilient trading experience across mobile and web.

Experience in trading or fintech is a significant advantage, but what matters most is a proven track record of owning and scaling high-performance digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery initiatives, user research, and performance benchmarking to identify platform bottlenecks, scalability gaps, and opportunities for improvement across mobile and web
• Develop and maintain a strategic product roadmap with a strong focus on platform performance, reliability, and scalability, aligned with business goals and user expectations
• Drive product development by owning the backlog, defining epics and user stories, and prioritising performance and infrastructure improvements in close collaboration with engineering, design, and trading teams
• Translate platform vision into detailed user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria; collaborate with engineering teams on technical requirements, architecture decisions, and solution design
• Define, track, and report on platform performance metrics — including latency, stability, load times, and uptime — and use these to drive continuous improvement
• Manage the full product lifecycle from ideation through to launch, including release planning, UAT facilitation, and post-release performance monitoring
• Work closely with stakeholders across trading operations, client support, and commercial teams to ensure platform quality meets operational and business needs
• Champion client-centric design and ensure platform accessibility and responsiveness across mobile, tablet, and desktop
• Monitor industry trends, competitor platforms, and emerging technologies to keep Equiti's platforms at the forefront of the market

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to define and track platform performance metrics and translate data into actionable engineering priorities
• Deep understanding of what makes digital platforms fast, stable, and scalable — and the ability to work fluently with engineering teams on these challenges
• Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Highly organised, autonomous, and proactive, with a collaborative mindset and strong attention to detail
• Proficient with standard product and design tooling, including Figma, Jira, Confluence, Postman, and Productboard
• Practical fluency with AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini) to accelerate product workflows — including drafting PRDs and user stories, synthesising research, and supporting data interpretation and reporting
• Comfort using AI-assisted prototyping and ideation tools to move faster through discovery and definition phases
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and apply sound product judgement before acting on them

Experience Requirements

• 3+ years in product management or a closely related role, with a proven track record delivering high-performance mobile and web platforms at scale
• Demonstrated experience working closely with engineering teams to improve platform performance, reduce latency, and scale systems under high load
• Experience defining and owning performance-related KPIs and using data to drive engineering prioritization
• Experience working closely with UX/UI teams and engineers in Agile/Scrum environments
• Track record of using product analytics, A/B testing, and user research to drive continuous improvement
• Experience with third-party integrations including CRMs, KYC, payment/funding systems, and data analytics platforms
• Knowledge of trading, financial markets, or investment platforms is a strong advantage
