Join our Team

About this Opportunity

As a Data Scientist in our Applied Generative AI team, you will combine strong programming skills with deep expertise in deep learning and Generative AI. You'll drive fundamental research on large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and agentic AI architectures and translate cutting-edge techniques into production-grade solutions that solve real-world problems.
You will serve as the critical bridge between state-of-the-art research and enterprise deployment, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and research peers in a dynamic, fast-paced, and global environment. You will be expected to contribute both intellectually — through publications, patents, and conference presentations — and operationally, by shipping robust, evaluated, and responsible AI systems.

What you will do

•    Conduct fundamental and applied research on LLM training methods— including instruction fine-tuning, , multi-modal integration, efficient fine-tuning (LoRA, adapters), sparse and dense mixtures of experts, etc.
•    Design, prototype, and evaluate generative AI agents, tool-augmented reasoning systems, and novel architectures (e.g., retrieval-augmented generation, chain-of-thought prompting)
•    Benchmark generative AI models for performance, alignment (safety, fairness), robustness, and usability; develop novel evaluation metrics
•    Investigate model compression and efficiency techniques (quantization, distillation, pruning) to enable cost-effective production deployments
•    Architect and design data flow and machine learning model implementation for production deployment
•    Work with product and engineering teams to integrate cutting-edge research into real-world applications
•    Collaborate on internal research projects and drive the development of IP and publications
•    Participate in academic and industry conferences; present findings through papers or talks

What you will bring

Experience Required: 6 months to 1 year

•    Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or related disciplines.
•    Hands-on expertise with large language models (e.g., GPT family, LLaMA, Mistral, Claude) and transformer-based architectures.
•    Proficient in Python and popular ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers).
•    Strong understanding of transformer architectures, self-attention, and optimization techniques.
•    Solid foundation in traditional ML algorithms (e.g. regression, classification, clustering, tree-based and ensemble methods) and deep learning (e.g. CNNs, RNNs, attention mechanisms).
•    Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow) and AWS cloud services for data storage and compute.
•    Demonstrated experience publishing papers, whitepapers, or filing patents.
