Senior Executive Cash Application

Insight Global is seeking a Senior O2C Cash Application Executive to join its Corporate Finance team. This role is responsible for leading accurate and timely application of customer payments, resolving complex payment discrepancies, and managing credit balances to ensure full invoice reconciliation. The Senior Executive will act as a subject-matter expert within the O2C cycle and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

1. Review, reconcile, and apply customer payments to open invoices with a high degree of accuracy.
2. Lead investigation and resolution of complex discrepancies related to billing rates, time entries, short payments, overpayments, and unapplied cash.
3. Review and manage credit balances; ensure timely creation and application of credit memos.
4. Partner cross-functionally with Billing, Accounts Receivable, Sales, and Operations to drive timely resolution of payment issues.
5. Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and SOX requirements.
6. Maintain comprehensive documentation and support audit inquiries as needed.
7. Identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvements within the O2C function.
8. Support system enhancements and mentoring junior team members as required.

Qualifications

1. 3–5+ years of progressive experience in cash application, reconciliation, or Accounts Receivable within an O2C environment
2. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, advanced formulas, and data analysis
3. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage volume, complexity, and competing priorities
4. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
